We are looking for a Mother’s Group Facilitator to join our wonderful team.

At Kerin Health, we believe in supporting new mothers on their journey by fostering community, connection, and education. Our 8-week Mothers’ Group program is designed for mums and their babies to connect, learn, and thrive together. With expert guidance from various health professionals and a focus on empowerment and enjoyment, this program offers a meaningful experience for new mothers in a warm and welcoming environment.

We are seeking a compassionate and organised Mothers’ Group Facilitator to lead our weekly sessions. This role involves creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for new mothers to connect and learn. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the program runs smoothly and be the friendly face that welcomes participants each week.

This role is based in Parkes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate weekly group sessions, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment.

  • Welcome participants, provide an overview of each session, and support the smooth delivery of guest presentations.

  • Foster connection among group members, encouraging open discussion and sharing.

  • Coordinate logistics, including session setup and ensuring the space is ready and welcoming.

  • Communicate with guest health professionals to ensure seamless integration into the program.

  • Address any immediate participant needs or concerns during sessions.

  • Assist with program feedback collection and provide suggestions for improvement.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in group facilitation, community programs, or similar roles.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to create a safe and welcoming environment for diverse participants.

  • Organised and proactive, with attention to detail.

  • A Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

  • Familiarity with the needs of new mothers and infants.
