The cost of absenteeism in Australia is estimated at $7 billion each year!

According to the World Health Organisation and the Australian Government, the workplace is recognised as a priority setting for health promotion.

Research shows that workplace health programs can result in:

  • 25% decrease in sick leave absenteeism.

  • 41% decrease in workers compensation costs.

  • Companies who invest in employee well-being programs also experience a $5.81 of savings for every $1 invested.

  • Further research indicates that employees who spend 2.5 hours per week exercising during work hours attain the same or higher productivity levels than their less physically active colleagues.

  • Research is now linking high amounts of sedentary time (prolonged sitting) with premature death, and chronic diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes.

Chronic diseases are the leading causes of death and disability, worldwide. This can dramatically impact an individual’s productivity and the amount of sick leave they may take. Fortunately, in most cases chronic diseases can be prevented and/or managed by healthy lifestyle modifications, and decreasing modifiable risks associated with the disease.

Although these diseases have many un-preventable risk factors such as age, family history and ethnicity, they all have preventable risk factors, which are within our control, including being overweight, having a poor diet, having high blood pressure, high cholesterol, being physically inactive, and smoking.

What is included for your Team Members?

A comprehensive health assessment and chronic disease risk evaluation.

  • Glucose, Cholesterol and Blood Pressure measurements.

  • Body analysis (waist to hip ratio, neck circumference).

  • Mental health questionnaire.

  • Individualised general healthy lifestyle advice.

  • Referral to GP or Allied Health Professional, if screening flagged health concerns.

  • Take home informative health results card for employees (for example, see below)

What is included for the Employer?

Comprehensive results including graphs and statistics presented to the workplace in regards to their employee data (unidentified).

  • Resources and advice tailored to the individual work environment, to assist the workplace to become healthier and more productive, through improving the health and well being of their employees.

  • Follow up phone call to discuss and explain the results.

  • Annual reviews to monitor employee health and well being over time
